Best Senior Photo Locations in St. Augustine (Photographer Favorites!)

1. Washington Oaks Garden State Park

This spot is a dream- lush gardens, peaceful walking trails, and the intracoastal just steps away. If you walk across the street, you’ll find yourself right on the beach. So in one session, you can get greenery, florals, and beachy vibes all in one.

2. Marineland Beach

Right down the road from Washington Oaks, this beach has all those rocky shoreline vibes that make photos feel extra dreamy and different. It’s less crowded than most beach spots, which makes it a win in my book.

3. Downtown St. Augustine

There’s so much character packed into every corner downtown. The cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and pops of color are perfect for fun, timeless grad photos. Just a heads up: it does require some walking, so comfy shoes are your friend!

4. Freedom Park

This one is a hidden gem. It’s quiet, peaceful, and has the most beautiful open field. If you’re into golden-hour portraits, this is where the sunsets really shine- but it can get breezy, so be prepared for a little wind in your hair!

5. Anastasia State Park

It’s a paid entry, but totally worth it. There’s a scenic boardwalk and my personal favorite- white sandy beaches with the softest colors. It’s such a serene place and gives a more coastal, editorial feel.

6. Magic Beach Motel (Vilano Beach)

If you want something funky and fun, this retro-style motel is perfect for something a little different. I shot my brother’s senior photos here and loved how the pops of color and vintage vibes came out.

BONUS TIP!

The best grad photos feel personal. Don’t be afraid to take them somewhere meaningful- like your school’s campus, the beach where you grew up going, or even your backyard. I’ve shot at high schools, colleges, and everything in between, and what matters most is capturing you in this season of your life.
